About

Royal Dolphins Rowing Club was formed out of an adult disability rowing group, set up by London Youth Rowing and British Rowing. Originally known as Headway group, it was renamed after the boat they trained in called the “Royal Dolphin”. Over the years the group has grown and with it has the ambition! Therefore a decision was made to become a fully fledged rowing club.

The group have different disabilities including:

learning disabilities,

birth deformities,

chronic pain,

cerebral palsy,

brain injury,

visual impairment

With the help of London Youth Rowing, British Rowing and Royal Docks Adventure, the club is able to row throughout the year (once a week currently), with access to indoor and outdoor facilities
